Super Bowl LX, the 60th championship game of the National Football League (NFL), is set to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year. It caps off the 2025 NFL season, combining elite football, musical spectacle, and a global broadcast reach.

where?
The
championship takes place on Sunday, 8 February 2026 at Levi's Stadium in Santa
Clara, California – home of the San Francisco 49ers. The stadium last hosted
the big game in 2016 (Super Bowl 50) and has a seating capacity of around

Kick-off is
at 11.30pm GMT for fans in the UK, thanks to the time difference with the West
Coast of the United States. Locally, it starts at 3:30 pm Pacific Time.

playing?
Right now,
the exact teams competing haven't been determined yet. We'll find out through
the NFL playoffs, with the AFC (American Football Conference) champion facing
the NFC (National Football Conference) champion in the final. The defending champions are the Philadelphia Eagles, who
won Super Bowl LIX in February 2025.
The
halftime show
One of the
most anticipated parts of any Super Bowl is the halftime entertainment. For
2026, the NFL has lined up Bad Bunny as the headline performer. The Puerto
Rican superstar is leading the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show,
bringing reggaeton and Latin trap energy to the field in Santa Clara. The
show's expected to be a vibrant cultural moment watched by millions worldwide.
Earlier in
2025, rumours flew that Taylor Swift might perform at halftime. Fan theories
gained traction online, sparked by her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs
tight end Travis Kelce and a series of supposed "Easter eggs".
NFL
Commissioner Roger Goodell added to the buzz by saying Swift would always be
welcome at a future championship. The rumours never came to anything, though,
and Swift later clarified she wasn't booked for 2026, so Bad Bunny is your
headliner.
The halftime
show also features guest performers, including Rosalia, Marc Anthony, Grupo
Frontera, Bomba Estereo, and Will Smith, a lineup that celebrates musical
diversity and global appeal.
National
anthem and pre-game entertainment
Before
kickoff, fans will hear the national anthem performed by Charlie Puth. There
will also be other pre-game performances that celebrate American traditions and
set the tone for the evening.
Brandi Carlile
will sing "America the Beautiful", and Coco Jones will perform
"Lift Every Voice and Sing."
